Up girl and girl performance group attended a meeting hosted project TEDxWomen by actress, writer, producer and activist Jane Fonda. Other speakers included President and CEO, The Paley Center for Media, Pat Mitchell, renowned journalist, author and columnist Nicholas Kristof, and the captain and founder of women’s football team, first in Afghanistan, Shamila Kohestani.
UN Foundation CEO Kathy Calvin said, this session reminded that all girls, no matter where they live, should have access to education, safe environments and the freedom to realize their dreams. When we girls with the right tools to strengthen here in the United States and around the world so that we can build a better future and a better world.
Up Girl and Girl Performance Collective project has worked at several events throughout the year that the girls in cities around the United States, as they are to help girls in developing countries committed educated, healthy, safe, counted and positioned to be the next generation of leaders.
